  • Klaus is just absolutely determined, clear and friendly at the same time -- and finally the horse can decide by himself to overcome his fear -- all this without reins or neck-ropes. What make Klaus' togetherness with horses so fascinating is the beauty, purity and gentleness in everything.

  • Now THAT is a great demonstration, especially since it is performed outside of the confines of an arena!!! Awesome!

  • Is he leaning forward to signal the horse to reverse? Or, is he just applying pressure to the withers?

  • @kangalhorse Sounds like you're bitter. Cheer up. All gentle encouragement to try new situations is psychological to a horse. There is no force in this video, just a communication of, "See, it's not so bad. No need to hop-skip over a deep set stream. It's just a bit of water."

  • THAT WAS AMAZING!

  • As well as studying Klaus Hempfling's books, this is the video I watch and re-watch because it reveals new nuances each time I view it. To turn and stop a horse with subtle weight shifts as Klaus teaches, is bliss. My horse has never moved so freely as she does now under me, thanks to what I have learned from Klaus. :D

  • This video goes without saying. A leader horses can trust. ~Evelin~

  • @ForeverDressage - Unneccesary, perhaps, but properly used bridle, bit, and spur can be useful tools. Even Klaus uses a whip, but never to beat a horse. That said, you make a good point.

  • Has the man 'won' the 'deepening trust of the horse'? Or has he earned it? I think that later.

  • Comon, that is just nonsense said in this video from absolute horse amateur!

He forces this animal to go through something horse does not want! It is pure psychological force which any person can use on horse (not comon riders as the have no knowledge about horses), but each person who understands just a bit of horses. Ridiculous to sell it as leadership and understanding of horse! Unbelivable!

  • I have watched this DVD. What Klaus achieves, within a few seconds sometimes, is incredible.
