Just a short test clip of "Risen", the RPG from Piranha Bytes. I played through and finished the game with a sword-wielding bandit, but this clip is me trying out spells with a mage for the first time.
Definitely a fun game. I'd say it's a "must play" if you love exploration-style RPGs, like the Gothic series or Morrowind. The combat can be challenging- there's no level-scaling as there is in a game like Oblivion (thank god).

I played through once, just as the uploader did as a Bandit, and am now creating my mage (I've done all the Harbor Town quests in favor of the Inquisition, and now have a letter saying I volunteered. I'm not sure I'm going to like being a Mage though. A friend told me it's way too easy that way. Oh, well, it'll be fun anyway,

@pokemonbluerescuefan Do NOT get captured by the monestary. Get to the city, appease the mage master there, and you will get the chance to train as a mage.

Thanks for this video. It inspired me to d/l the demo and give it a try. I'm glad I did. It's a very beautiful game, with some interesting characters and well written dialogue. Combat is a bit wonky, but the interface is quite intuitive and well thought out.
It also runs quite well at 1920x1200 with mostly high settings on my 5-year old gaming PC, so that was also a plus. Thanks for recommending this one.

Sweet. I have finished the game as a mace/axe wielding bandit myself. Thinking of trying the mage, it looks cool. =)
