interesting, but why not just open a Terminal and type in "ftp [your server here]" ? Does Mac OS X not have the ftp command from FreeBSD? :-O Win XP has an ftp command :-) granted, you won't have drag and drop capability with the command line, but you have more power with the command line program than the GUI version featured here :)
just wondering. This video was posted in 2007 and your on mac tiger. Since macs changed a lot over the time you should get lion and make an updated version for 2012.

FileZilla or any other FTP client software enables uploading very quickly and easily. Hope this helps
