Shows how to sew leg gussets onto a cloth diaper cover to protect against leaks around the baby's legs. The cover is a 2 layer Rita's Rump Pattern with shortened tabs and is sewn with FOE around the edges.

  • Is pul wasy to sew? Or does it get caught up underneath the machine foot because of the shinyness? Not sure if that makes sense sorry.

  • @nettyc35 Actually I don't find it that difficult, but you do have to be sure to always sew with the shiny (waterproof) side down. It can be a tiny bit slippery, which is why I had to stop and start and adjust throughout the video.

  • Thank you very much for this video.

I wish we could have seen the final product.

    Nonetheless, great video.

  • @OneProdicalChild I'll be working on getting a better quality updated video on here soon that shows the process start-to-finish, including the final product. Just for everyone else's reference.

  • @nettyc35 If you have problems you can also use a walking foot (helps a lot with slippery stuff or a lot of layers!) Or sew with tissue paper over it and then rip the tissue paper off after you are done. I've heard of some people using baby powder, too, but I wouldn't want all of that dust in my machine!)

  • how much fabric do you need to make a diaper cover?

  • @nettyc35 if you put a piece of tissue paper over so its likes a barrier between the foot of the machine and fabric it makes it a lot easier to sew :) Then you can just rip the tissue paper off when your done!

  • what size foe are you useing?

  • i subbed awesome video
