I do not claim this as my property, all copyright goes to the NFL and ABC.

Uploading this mainly because this was the first place John Lennon's death was announced. This game is a classic and shows a time where the Dolphins were supposed to blow out the Patriots, not the other way around.. This was actually a suprisingly close game, The Dolphins, despite there average season they were having and despite the Pats better record, Miami was supposed to knock New England out. This game turns out to be a very close Overtime thriller.

BTW RIP John Lennon... Imagine what it would be like if you were still here,,,,

  • This would be New England's 14th consecutive loss at the Orange Bowl. They won there in '66 but not again until the 1985 AFC Championship game.

  • I'm know I'm one day late, but RIP John Lennon.

  • @TheKassicRock That's what it seems like, you can't find a single FULL Super Bowl game or as you said POST 2000 re seas game. F that uptight BS!

  • Thanks for posting. Can you post more Dolphin games from this era?

  • Wouldn't YOU realy rather have a BUICK?"...No. Not anymore....unless you have a mint 1981 Regal. Love the "Teeth"

  • @TheKassicRock Done. Thanks! I have a post of MNF from 1980 also on my giantlew page of the Raiders @ Steelers - this was a great era in NFL broadcasting. I can't help but feel sadness though as this night would forever change the world we live in for those of us who loved the Beatles and John Lennon.
