The Lord commanded Nephi to go and get the plates, from the wicked Laban inside the city gates. Laman and Lemuel were both afraid to try. Nephi was Courageous this was his reply.

I will go I will do the thing the Lord commands. I know the Lord provides a way, he wants me to obey. I will go I will do the thing the Lord commands. I know the Lord provides a way, He wants me to obey.

The Lord commanded Nephi to go and build a boat. Nephi's older brothers believed it would not float. Laughing and mocking they said he should not try. Nephi was Courageous, this was his reply.

I will go I will do the thing the Lord commands. I know the Lord provides a way, he wants me to obey. I will go I will do the thing the Lord commands. I know the Lord provides a way, He wants me to obey.

The Lord gives us commandments and asks us to obey. Sometimes I am tempted to choose another way. Afraid and discouraged and think I cannot try, I will be courageous and I will reply

I will go I will do the thing the Lord commands. I know the Lord provides a way, he wants me to obey. I will go I will do the thing the Lord commands. I know the Lord provides a way, He wants me to obey.

  • do you have a version that is higher quality, I would like to use it for my seminary class.

  • This is what you tell yourself when the task at hand seems impossible.. I think this is Heavenly Fathers favorite primary song.

  • And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.

    1 Neph 3:7

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • 1nep.3:7

  • Let us ALL go and do the things the Lord commands!!! Let us ALL recognize His voice!!! Let us ALL follow the words of the prophets and apostles, because they truly speak the words of God, to us!!!

  • While the Book of Mormon doesn't actually give us distances, it occasionally tells us how long it took to travel from one city to another. We know from both ancient and modern sources how long it typically took people (if they were traveling as soldiers or as families with provisions) to move through various terrains from one location to another. Plugging this same data into the Book of Mormon allows us to estimate the distance between locations

  • Mormon 6:17

O ye fair ones, how could ye have departed from the ways of the Lord! O ye fair ones, how could ye have rejected that Jesus, who stood with open arms to receive you!

The Nephites dwindled in unbelief due to pride. But by then, the parts of the Book of Mormon that we have had been almost completely written. That could not have happened without the Brass Plates, therefore Laban's death was not pointless, because it was one of many events that enabled us to have the Book of Mormon.

  • @xXDerekBrandtXx And then the nation did in fact dwindle and perish in unbelief... So Laban's death was pointless. This is the kind of blind faith that causes people to fly planes into buildings.

Nephi's actions are indistinguishable from a paranoid schizophrenic

  • @mooseclamps the one who was "murdered" was warned and would not hearken to the warnings which resulted in him getting killed.
