@dikkejohn No your the dumbass, , in fact it can take up to a couple minutes for you to suffer any severe burns at all on UNPROTECTED skin, I have done this myself(hold hydrochloric acid in my hand for a few moments), and suffered no ill affects. Have you tried putting acid on your hand without "this stuff" or just assumed when you did use the derma-shield to "protect" yourself and suffered no ill affects that is MUST be the shield not just that hydrochloric acid is not very reactive w/skin.
