  • @sbd650 Hello! The patent is 110 years old now. Constructed by James Stroh for recording purpose in the early days of the phonograph. They where manufactured in large scale and where spread in recording studios all over the world. However, when microphones, loudspeakers and amplifiers came in the mid -20:s almost every one where passed on to the junk yard exept for a few survivors around the world. All the very best! Andy.

  • Great tune! This unusual instrument sounds like a fiddle. For the first time in my life I see and hear such an instrument.

    All the best.

  • what a great tune! I'd love to learn it. is it possible there is sheet music of that available on the 'net?
