I first met this budgie about one year ago. When I saw it in the cage it was suffering badly. I
told the owner it had mites and needed immediate attention. She took it to the vet and got it
treatment. The mites went away and the budgie got healthy again.
Today the owner asked me if I would take the budgie. One day it flew on her shoulder as it
must of flew away from it's first home. So she really did not plan to have it. I told her I would be
glad to take it.
My other budgies are in their own room. I knew I had to isolate him first for 6 weeks before I
brought him into to their room. So I decided to work with him on his own and I moved my
computer into a separate room just for him.
Maylor said:

Maylor is talking about my wife Linda and our new daughter Kayla. Linda gave Maylor a lot of
attention during his first few hours with us while I was setting up his new room.
Maylor continues:

I only had a few seconds to diagnose Maylor when I say him the first time. I immediately knew
that it was mites and told his guardian to take him to the vet. His eyes and beak were all covered
and his eyes were almost closed shut they were so bad. I was surprised to see that he was
such a frisky little guy for all the suffering he must have been in.
Maylor continues:

It did not take Maylor long to pick up on the fact that Victor was my budgie and he even
remembered my name after I only told it to him once.

Ryan's comments:
Maylor must have bonded well with his first guardian because of his talking abilities. Often
bonded budgies think they can fly away and find their way back home. Unfortunately many of
them never can return because they are in unfamiliar territory. So he is telling me that he will
not fly away this time. The woman who gave him to me said that he flew on her shoulder one
day when she was in her yard. He was very hungry and thirsty and that is probably where he
picked up his mites.
Maylor continues:
May I help you with the translations?
Maybe you will enjoy a budgie as your roommate.
Budgies don't sleep much.
This open door is welcoming.
There are some very interesting parts in this last segment. From listening to Victor he knows
that I translate budgies and says he is willing to help. Then he talks about me being his
roommate. He obviously sensed my willingness to want to move my computer in with him in a
room so I could be near him more. Lastly he talks about budgies sleeping. I don't know how
much attention he received in his last home, but I know he was not allowed out of his cage. The
first thing I did when things settled down a bit was leave the cage door open so he could come
out when he wants. Doing this showed him that he is welcome in our home and he makes
reference to that.
Lastly, I would like to say how amazing and cute this budgie is and sounds. He is very clear in
most of what he says and I look forward to doing more translations of him.

my New budgies are not as what you call happy?
there cage is so small about only 2 feet
and not that wide
i am getting a new cage soon
they arent tame so i dont know how i;m going to move them
