@42guide42 what you've said is pretty much what Jason said himself in an interview i saw years ago promoting this record. At the time he said it was thighpaulsandra he worked with to realize the music.

@OrpheusKant Where did you find the information that Jason doesn't write the parts? From everywhere I've read (I'm not counting Wikipedia of course) he cannot read music so he sings (if not all then most) into a tape recorder. Then, he works with the musicians to create the notes for the instruments. Not dissing Coxon because I agree with you that Coxon is a genius. But I disagree with you in that I think Jason does deserve the praise. Besides, the I just love the music. :)

Great band, very supportive and a couple of the bandmembers formed a "supergroup" with a guy from Beautiful South and one from The Fratellis to support Mencap, the learning disability charity. Was a crackin' gig!
