  • yea..

I have been carrying this way for a really stupid long time.. Back starting in college I got used to pocket carrying, since that was the only way for me to know that I knew where it was all the time. I gotta say, humalog is not nearly as shelf stable as humalin was.. But, I have discovered its good for about 3 weeks than I need to bump up the ratio to cover how crappy it starts getting.. That results in it never lasting more than a month..

  • Good Vid 1HD!

Here's what I do - I get 3 vials of insulin a month, which all get stored in the fridge. When I am running low with the vial in my medicine cabinet, I take one vial out of the fridge. That vial will last maybe 2 weeks, so it's not in the fridge that long. Also, it's well within the 30 days window of storing insulin outside of the fridge.

The only time bubbles are an issue is when I first fill up. I prime a little extra to get them out of the top. Thx.

  • You should do a video on what's your favorite thing to eat when you're low. I get sick of the juice, so sometimes I indulge. Heath bars are my guilty pleasure. My fridge is loaded with Tropicana juice bottles. I used to rock the Minute Maid juice boxes back in the day. Ever try to function a Capri Sun when you're low. Talk about frustration. By the time you poke the straw into that invisible hole, you end getting the juice all over yourself. I gave up on Capri Suns.

  • Lol, thanks a lot! I love your videos, so helpful, for those who have diabetes. :P

  • Good to know! last week I left my insulin pen in my car and I thought it was spoiled because it smelled a little but funny, but I used it once and it took me blood glucose right to where it was suppose to be so I guess even if it smells funny it might still work :P

  • No worries, Bill. It's already on the site. Taken care of, bud!

  • Well happy birthday, what a nice birthday gift from me... lol... thanks so much for checking it out so quick! Happy B Day again.
