Spitzer wasn't brilliant enough to know that sleeping around gives the opposition power. We're lucky they toppled him rather than used his affairs as blackmail material. That's why moral conduct matters.

And no, we aren't a democracy. We're a Republic.

The guy was actively prosecuting prostitutes while soliciting them. He's a dick who deserved to go down.
