Golden Sun: The Lost Age Part 1 (Venus Lighthouse)

Well, I recently discovered emulators, and how I can play my old favorite games on my computer. So, after I downloaded VBA (Visual Boy Advance) and started playing around with the options, I discovered I could record myself.

Naturally, being the mature adult that I am, I immediately think to myself, "OMFGWTFBBQ!!1!1! I CAN RECORD MYSELF PLAYING, THAT'S FREAKING AWESOME! I'M GUNNA DO IT AND PUT IT ON YOUTUBE!!!1!"

So, after giving Google a nice bit of excercise, I downloaded some more Roms and programs to fix some rather frustrating issues with the AVI recording function on VBA (namely, the gradual loss of Audio/Video sync), and began my epic quest.

NOTE: This is NOT meant to display my gaming prowess. I didn't make this to prove how badass I am. Trust me, I don't have ANY need to prove myself.... at all. This is also NOT meant to be a walkthrough/guide.

Now, you can use it as such if you want. I am completely willing to help anyone out with any questions they may have, whether it's about the game itself, or how I got that fucking audio to synch up. If you can't tell yet, it bugged me... a lot. But I fixed it, so FUCK YOU AVI! HA!

Where did u download it because every version i download the music is not in sync with the game :S

You mean the actual game itself isn't in sync with audio, or when you record it?

Cool, all the video tutorials don't seem to make mention of the audio problem, and so to be completely original, I'll now ask you, how did you manage to get the audio/video o synch?

I didn't want to have to do something insanely complicated every time I wanted to make a video, so I made sure that it would be simple.

anyway, glad to help. Like I said, I'll try my best to answer any questions. And this was a personal pet peeve of mine.

no it wasn't that, it was all the guides I've tried to look at, they make it seem like you need a hundred other programs as well to make it work. Anyway thanks again.

Next to what you selected, there should be a blank box. Underneath the blank box, you should see the current frame rate for your audio.

Type that EXACT number into the blank box, and click ok.

Then, go File, Save as AVI.

Lastly, if your video lenght is short enough, take it to Windows Movie Maker, and publish the movie.

There ya go, the audio/video should sync perfectly throughout the whole vid, and thanks to WMM it won't take 3 hours to upload to youtube.

Select your recording. (Note, it can only be so long or large to be put on youtube.... I actually time myself to avoid going over the limit, staying under ten minutes.)

Click on the tab: Audio

Underneath it, you should see, Direct Stream Copy. Select that.

Then go to the Video tab. Select Direct Stream Copy again.

Select Video again. Click on Frame Rate.

Under Source Rate Adjustment, you should see Change Frame Rate To (FPS)
