Bruce is 100% a christian...he has stated on many occasions his belief in God and if you look at the lyrics in many of his songs you can see that very clearly. He was brought up a catholic and he uses a fair bit of catholic imagery in his songs. He doesn't care much for organised religion though any more, but his core blief is very much still there.

Suck my ____ and geez my sheet don't stink.
One thng I don't understand is why all these "pure" Christians thing that god wants to hang out with them. Boring, plus there is nothing else but change; how's the weather where you are?

Jason Robards and Kirk Douglas? In Inherit the Wind? Was there a re-make of the movie?

@BigShotTony Try harder. Read the lyrics to each song, and please consider your difficulty in understanding both perspectives.

Um, no. Bruce does believe in God and has stated so himself when asked. He may have been an atheist or agnostic at one point, but he gradually began accepting spirituality after his personal low point in the late 1980s' and had a resurgence of faith after his first son was born. Listen to "Living Proof." Many of Bruce's songs are inherently personal, so I doubt he uses religious imagery as a means of making his songs more commercial or acceptable to his audience.
It's ridicoulus to believe in creatioism, and even more to want it to be teached in schools, thanx bruce to be once more the civic coscience of america. PS: bruce votes Obama! that's the way I like it!
