  • yep. parents should have a choice in what their children learn. but instead, teachers are FORCED to teach creationism during the evolution unit in biology. i want my kids to learn facts, not outdated, unproven, brainwashed bullshit. sorry, but there is no logic behind god making men out of mud. and that nice little portion about eve being made from adams rib to act his 'companion' and obey him? sounds like someone feels a little superior.

  • i hate prop 8!!! i am so pissed it passed

  • There are ten nations in the world that grant full marriage rights to all of their citizens: the Netherlands, Belgium, Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Canada, South Africa, Spain, Portugal and Argentina. In all of these countries, straight couples and families are doing just fine. None of the dire predictions of opponents of gay marriage have come to pass. This video is nothing more than a crock of crap.

  • @Crazydud20

Yep, those are the only effects that it will have. The overwhelmingly majority of straight people will scarcely even notice.

As for the terrible problem of bullying, one can look up the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN) on Google and go to its website and give it support.

  • The effects and consequences if Proposition 8 fails are unmistakable...gay people will be able to marry and life will continue the same for everyone else. Stop affecting my life by voting against my rights to marry my boyfriend! You want to think of children, think of the children that are bullied because they are "different" every day because it is still condemned to be gay by some people in our society.

  • churches should lose their tax exempt status unless they demonstrate that they are a useful, charitable organization and apply for the tax exempt status like any other association. The problem is that politicians are scared of the backlash that would be unjustly perpetrated by the religious from being removed from their special state, not because they're being "discriminated against".

  • @sessakag How is letting gay people marry affect other people in ANY way?

  • 'The effects and consequences if Proposition 8 fails are unmistakable?' More like the effects and consequences if Proposition 8 fails are bullshit.

  • The problem is, they never used a convincing argument. They should have said: "Vote yes on Prop 8. If you don't the consequences will be davastating. Such a large group of people will lose their right to be ignorant bigots. So many will lose the right to make decisions which are none of their concern. Can't you see how terrible gay marriage is?"

  • This ad is wrong in many ways. Saying people would have to pay gay hate crimes as a con really kills me the most. It harassment, any type of harassment weather your race age or sexual orientation shouldn't be tolerated. Also why are people so hung up on "protecting" kids from the situation? People are BORN gay. You can protect someone from it.
