Michelle Phan didn't copy her. There are a lot of sugar skull tutorials and a lot of different sugar skull designs, it's not about copying it's about being inspired by someone else enough that you want to make your own version of something. Their flowers on their chins are different for starters, also the way the nose is painted, the colours used and the heart on the forehead.

@nenaranger As I mentioned in this video I based this look on a Sylvia Ji painting. You should check out her work, she's inspired a lot makeup tutorials on Youtube. Sadly she doesn't often get credited but her paintings are extraordinary. : )

You said this takes a long time, how long did it take? Can you give me a guesstimate as I would like to try this for my work costume contest but will be limited on time. Beautiful work by the way, the best Ive seen so far :)
