This is deceiving ..it sounds like their original style which had very much a POP feel. Elvis infused the song with his maniacal energy intensity, abandon, energy we associate with Rock...Elvis was the one who infused this song with what knocked the world on it's ear and set it on fire. Just listen to Bill Haley's, Big Joe's, and Elvis's versions. None wrote the song and each infused their style. E's style rocked the world..and everyone learned from it incl. Bill Haley I see!

Actually, unless the drummer's name is Phil he is not the original either. Neither are the rest. People like Franny, Al, Rudy. To the best of my knowledge they have all, sadly, passed.
