Andrea Clegg is living proof.

She was in the middle of her speech at her own wedding, when she collapsed in the arms of her groom. Andrea wouldn't get to dance with her new husband that night. She wouldn't even get to say goodbye to her friends and family.

She was only 25 and her heart had stopped.

Thankfully, because of the generosity of caring people like you, Andrea received the expert care she needed that day, at Toronto General Hospital and Toronto Western Hospital. Andrea would go on to have two major surgeries at our hospitals; a mechanical heart implanted, and eventually, a full heart transplant.

Andrea is now healthy and living life to the fullest, doing her part to raise awareness for organ donation and helping our hospitals raise the funds required to help others in their time of need.
