This is of our Mori Seiki tool setting before running a program. When this machines runs in the night on it's own we have it run this program to verify every tools lenght and acuracy. If it detects a broken tool it stops and changes to a back Sister Tool. This saves us from wasting anything

  • the problem with Mori tool breakage detection is the fact that the PMC controls the distance the machine rapids to position to check for a broken tool... if you have say, a tap that pulls out, the PMC tells the tool to go to 5mm above the stylus and you can't control it. I've seen many broken presetters from tools pulling out of the holder and slamming into the presetter... rock on!

  • That is a really slow tool change!!!. Just kidding, very nice. Incredible.
