@epcdaniel THANKS for the slackware tip. Though I use a more modern dual core w/4GB at work, old machines with lightweight OSs are great for home servers, from email & photos to music, or video surveillance monitoring with cheapie webcams.
"Sexbox369", PWS 3 LOL! Yeah for gaming PCs are the state of the art. I love the super-machines with quad cores, high-double-digit RAM, water-cooled and over-clocked & triple graphics cards. The GPUs r more powerful than most CPUs. F-16s of gaming

@Snoep76239 I love the outdoors, but I still game on PC. I'm not a sexbox360 or playwithyourself 3 kind of person. ;) I'm all about performance PC gaming. Vista was the ME of the new platform.. Just a here it is, yes it sucks, but we need real world feedback to further develop a new OS. ;) Windows 7 is more refined than Vista and uses less resources for the same apps - like sidebar on Vista is nom nom nom on your CPU where W7 uses about 2% CPU when updating gadgets.
