I think of the fretboard as a circle...what I mean is...I close my eyes, then I think about a water
drop in a circle...I pick one note as the tonal center...and the next thing is, I try to sing another note
to build an interval based on the center note, then start guessing with my heart where the notes
are...and try to hit the fret and hear whether it is correct or not..

For example, I used to pick the notes on the 4th string...because it's really good to build the big
stretching interval around it...if the note that I sing is a higher interval...automatically I guess it's on
the higher area (3rd, 2nd and 1st strings), and it works vice versa whether you have horizontal, diagonal or
vertical lines of interval shapes.

Just close your eyes, relax...trust your ears and instincts...good luck!
