I used to be able to do this.. but now when I load fruity loops, it just keeps on playing a "C" in each of the channels.
Example: When you first load fruity loops you get Kick, Clap, Nit, and Snare. If i push the "Z" it plays the kick, "X" will play Clap, "C" plays the Hit, while "V" plays the snare. Instead of the different notes actually.
Any help is appreciated.
(I did click the "CTRL +T" function also, Like I said, I used to work before)

@yesitsvetz in Ableton - yes, you can. About cubase - don't know.
