BNP Paribas Open 2010 - Rafael Nadal autographing for ball kids in the tunnel and I get a kiss!

I got to kiss his cheek! This was after his doubles match on March 16th. Nadal/Lopez defeated Verdasco/Lopez, 6-4 7-6(4). Federer then walks behind Rafa to go on court for his match against Baghdatis.

I honestly wasn't expecting so many views/comments on this video so I'm going to add a bit more info. At the beginning of the video Rafa says "Sure!" to another ball girl that asked for a kiss. Then the ball boy standing next to me asked for one, which is why Rafa says "Not with you! With you, no." I then said "How about me?" and... success!

At the end of the match I asked if I could have his sweat towel. He said yes, then signed it for me. :D

How do you become a ball girl? Is it your job or part time job? Just curious!

@RCR9897 It's actually just a volunteer job. I live in the area, so it's easy enough to go there for two weeks out of the year. Anyone between the ages of 12 and 20 can do it, although I think they're letting that rule slide for me! You don't have to play tennis or anything, you just have to really know how the scoring works. The Fila uniform is given to us for free and we get to keep it. The best part is just being so close to all the players!

@soleilvie yeah that's so cool! I bet it is so awesome being soo close to the players! I i didn't know it was a volunteer job, I thought it was an actual job that you get payed for. Lol... but do you get to ball girl for the finals?

@RCR9897 I do actually. This is my 6th year of being a ball girl, and my second opportunity to work the finals. I'm so excited! I really want it to be Federer vs. Nadal.

God we werent allowed to do that when i was a ball kid we'd get kicked out of the tournament :( we're no even allowed to keep the ball that they throw out. i envy you soo much :)
