I want the mask from this version

1.this is the 1943 version
2. I don't think this is comic or kitsch; it's a great movie of it's time, and it was a great box office and oscar winning sucess
3. No, "Amour et Gloire" is not a real opera, it is a part of the movie based on a Chopin waltz. A lot of other movies os the 1930"s and 1940's have sequences based on classic melodies, such as "Czaritza" on "Maytime"(1937)

1. My books give 1942 as the year of production.
2. Personally, I find quite kitsch (though entertain, for sure) the adaptation of a Nocturne to showcase the soprano's high notes.
3. Have you seen the movie? It is filled with gags (the two men trying to get through the door at the same time, etc) By that, I do not mean to say that it is a bad movie. It is fun and entertaining to watch, I just would not classify it as a horror film.

I checked again about the date, and the film won the academy award (for set designs) in 1943, If I am correct, oscars are awarded to films of the previous year.
