The New Citroën C5 - Unmistakeably German

Here I am staring in the new TV ad for the New Citroën C5. Another fine example of German engineering.

Ah, I remember this advert. I did not appreciate it half as much as I do now. WIN.

Hey, cool down all of ya ... Citroen is telling us: 'OK, you buy more German cars then French, you like teutonic simplicity and looks rather then Normand stile and chique ... we can make one like this as well - try it out its damn good and its still full of Citroen chique and clever touch ;-)

It looks like a German car by Citroen's admission. It also (supposedly) drives like one, which is why it's funny; Citroen is making a dig at both French and the German.

In 1780 5,500 French soldiers landed in Rhode Island to try to help their American allies in assaulting British-occupied New York City.
Beach, Virginia, there is monument maintained by the Colonial National Historical Park of the National Park Service which commemorates Admiral de Grasse and his sailors who helped the United States achieve its independence from Great Britain.
