This is a screencast showing how to write a QuickLook plug-in using Xcode 3 on Mac OS X Leopard. (Part 1 of 2)

For a better quality video (so you can read the screen) as well as one where both parts are in a single file go to:

  • Great tutorial!

But a correction on language: /usr/bin/ is NOT called "User, bin". It's called "U.S.R., bin". /usr/ stands for "Unix System Resources".

  • hope 2010 is a great year for you :)

  • just a little update to anyone who's doing this: add another argument to qlmanage of "-d 4" otherwise you won't get the output as shown (i'm on snow leopard)

  • I would like to publish my book in iphone, not with ereader, but single aplication, so no one can copy my book, do you know someone who can assist me?, with aplication?

  • You're great at this. Keep it up.
