Thanks Chris, for showing us some of what may be the last remaining folks in our country who have the lovely, elusive, and old-fashioned quality of camera shyness! Really enjoy your posts and videos of your farm and community.

Small country July 4th parades are the best! We went to one this year here in my home state of MI and enjoyed it a lot! Makes you realize how lucky you are to live in the USA. Thanks for sharing your video with us Chris! :-)

I also would have liked you to have filmed the actual parade. Chris, you do a great job here interviewing the folks. I think working on your TV show has made you so comfortable in front of the camera.

Chris ..love your video, you are so at ease with your neighbors and like seeing you outside the kitchen
-
So much fun! Let me know if any of you are looking to adopt a grown woman and her two little girls. :D
Thanks for sharing and making us all jealous.

When you say "Old Timey", you really mean it! 'bout as down-home as you can get. But where's the food? And the bow-tie - almost didn't recognize you without it!

The joys of country living.
Love Cooks Country and Americas Test Kitchen!

Christopher, Thanks it was fun, even if it was like "pulling teeth" to get any answers. Can I ask without casting aspersions; does that guy Live in that Trans Am?? TRB

Chris why no footage of the actual parade in action? That would have been enjoyable.
I love this video. My dad grew up in Maine (I was raised in Chicago). Every summer my parents drove my sister and I to Maine to and dumped us off on our Aunts. I remember being in Vermont and going out with one of the locals while he tapped the maple trees. Unfortunately, I didn't appreciate the experience at the time. If I knew then what I know now...
I would love to see a video of you and your band, any chance?.

@tarm6 We are playing Aug 21st at our Pig Roast and will be making a video this year -- not expecting record downloads but we are pretty good for a band that plays twice per year (one rehearsal, and one pig roast!). Will post in September.

How come you don't have a gut like most of the townies??

@Marianne1379 Well, the real farmers don't have guts -- they are pretty skinny too. And, real Vermonters don't drink either which helps!
