Sweetgrass (Hierochloe odorata) can be propagated from rhizomes by digging up the roots, separating and cleaning them in warm water, planting in pots with potting soil, fertilizing and clipping back the foliage. Sweetgrass is braided and used in Native American ceremonies. For more information on sweetgrass visit plants.usda.gov or contact Jim (jim.jacobs@mt.usda.gov)
