The Centurio 30 Rucksack from Berghaus is a 30 litre backpack from the MMPS range. This modular range allows additional MMPS pockets to be integrated into the pack to increase capacity, and furthermore the Centurio can be integrated into the Crusader and Spartan backpacks for different mission requirements. The Centurio does not have a Cyclops II backsystem like the Crusader and Spartan, but rather adopts the Freeflow backsystem which allows for a stable, low profile load.
Features * Internal frame for load support * Flow back system * Waist belt * Top lid pocket * Hydration system compatible * MMPS side pocket compatible. (Purchase separately) * Side compression straps * Ice axe attachment * 4 accessory attachment points with shock cord * Molle webbing attachment points

  • Hi, Thank you for your enquiry. We can advise that we have checked with the Supplier and they call the side straps compression straps simply because you can tighten them and they compress the bag in. We can fully see the customer's point of view that they are not typical compression straps like you would see in a compression bag/stuff sack but that’s what the Manufacturer have called them unfortunately.

  • @alantd44 I stand corrected - there appear to be 2 types of side pocket attachment. what a crazy solution!

  • Surely the MMPS side pockets are standard and fit all MMPS compatible sacs. My Vulcan pockets fit both my Karrimor SF sacs - I can't see why they wouldn't fit Berghaus' own bags.

Disappointing review. Most people know how to open a bag and that when you do you get access to the inside! Better to talk about the material (weight, treatment...) and the strength of the waist belt for load carrying.

Also, get your basic facts right: accessory patches, ice axe loops, Molle webbing...

  • @1970Jenko The Centurio uses different sidepockets than the Vulcan

  • Hi are the side pockets above the same as come with a Vulcan pack? I just ordered both a vulcan and centurio from you guys and the pockets from the vulcan cannot be installed on the centurio. The zips attachments on the centurio are exactly reversed in position compared to the vulcan (basically configured upsidedown) meaning the pockets sit upside down when installed on the centurio. Is this a manufactuers fault or does the centurio need differenty pouches from the vulcan alttogether??

  • Those top "hand grips" are molle tabs...For attaching extra pouches, accessories etc. They're not for "extra grip" lol

  • Again the side straps are not compression straps.
