Never seen your videos before today, I really enjoy them

I decided to kill time while being sick with your vvideos and Dan you own the Youtube!
-
You forgot CSXT 1 (Spirit of West Virginia)

Danny, can you please elaborate on the GF&A line, I looked up some history on it, the orginal line is not the line you have in your video of the GF&A, I also found history on the Carabelle-Tallahasse line, that paralled Springhill Rd. and is now a rail-trail, as is the St. Mark Trail. I read an article where it detailed the route of the GF&A line where it crossed Gains St. near Doak Campbell Staduim, crossed under Pensacola St. via Cheiftan and cross Ocala and Tharpe out to the current location.

I wish I could see some action at Winston. It's been quiet there or I'm hitting it at a bad time.

@soulfultenor I'm not sure which line you're talking about here. The Original GF&A through Tallahassee came south from Bainbridge through Havana, past Lake Jackson and down in West Tallahassee where it remains today. Have you ever wondered why Mission Road curves to the east and parallels Tennessee street instead of just continuing south across it?

Just before the Gaines/Lake Bradford. crossing, the GF&A diverged. One side led off to the left, paralelling the north side of Gaines St. That's where (I believe) the GF&A Tally yard was. Several tracks ran from just West of Woodward Ave almost to Railroad Ave.
The GF&A Main ran down past Elberta Crate Mill and then south toward orange Ave and Spring Hill Rd.

Danny, you're making me home sick for Tampa. I am a CSX engineer who normally works the Tampa extra board. I love the board because you could catch some great jobs that you wouldn't catch if working a regular assignment.
I've been off medical since before thanksgiving. I am currently in St Louis recieving treatment at the Siteman Cancer Center. In addition to the support of family and friends, the desire to get back in the seat and pull on the throttle is what keeps me going. Thanks for that.

@dbeckermann Wow! Glad I could offer a little piece of home for you.
The support of family and friends is the most powerful medicine you can take, so soak all of it up that you can.
Best of luck. Hope to have you back in Florida soon!
