You are fortunate--I made one and it works fairly well, but I only get 5 channels, and only 3 are strong enough to enjoy watching. However, I'm in a low area where there's other homes higher than me that block the signal. But, I also had to use an amplifier to boost the signal strength. Regardless is works better than those flat RCA units. I also found an old UHF ring antenna I attached to a board and it works equally well, and takes up much less space!

hey bro. i did the same thing seriously it work. i work as a loss prevention officer for sears. and the time when the world cup was going on. the company bought a really expenseve antenna. it suck ass. so i built this one and took it to work and all the workers were amaze.....

I just got a Toshiba 26AV502RZ, but not as near channels.

I built two so far, ready to throw the one I paid $70 for (Vanguard 3000S I think). Yes it works well, I'm just not sure if I am doing it right, trying to get in channels out of state now.

oh my god we only get 60 channels on basic cable! screw the 40 dollars a month im building me a hi-def antenna!!!

It would have been great if you had mention your location. Are you in New York City or the hills in North Carolina? That's a lot of channels!
