Robie Kirk (Winfield Scott ?) recorded this in NYC Sept 1945 with the Tab Smith Orch.
After looking up Robie Kirk on the internet I discovered that he may be the song writer Winfield Scott. It all seems to tie together with Mayo Williams (who wrote this tune) Tab Smith, & Otis Blackwell. If so then he wrote some big hits for people like La Vern Baker, Elvis Presley, & Connie Francis.
Does anyone out there know ?

  • @TheVideostunad Thanks! I don't think the Blues guys would think these as 'Blues' but rather 'Jump Blues'. And I do like Jump Blues and have lots of it (it's easier to find). When I think Blues I tend towards the non-orch. stuff, like I posted awhile back. I look forward to your comments Sal. Thanks again!

Isn't this a nasty little diddy.

  • Damn,I'm impressed! The BEST blues tunes i've heard on You Tube!Keep 'em coming! Sal
