In the last year alone, there's been more than a 100 funerals for villagers who've died from cancer and rare respiratory illnesses in Map Ta Phut district. According to the Eastern People's Network, which is fighting to halt further industrial expansion, many more "undiagnosed" deaths were transferred out of the province.

    Predatory international corporations that destroy the environment and peoples' lives are a worldwide scourge. They only care about deregulation & short term profits.

    Natural gas fracking in the U.S. and shale oil production in Canada is quite similar, destroying the water table and pouring carcinogens into the environment.
