BTW The priority of the raptor was stealth over maneuverability, as reflected in its unattractive design. Sukois and MiG's are designed with maneuverability as their first priority, and their designs are also heavily influenced by wind tunnel tests.

6) 3D TVC means you have rudder control a high-AoA, the F-15 ACTIVE also had 20* TVC but it was 3D like the Terminator

7) The TVC nozzles on the Terminator moved slowly, those on the F-22 moved instantly with the elevons.

8. The Terminator program was cancelled long ago, the plane that performed for the S/MTD and ACTIVE programs is still testing new systems.

heres to everyone who thinks that the F-22 stole the Su-37's thrust vect1) The F-15S/MTD program ended in 1991, the Terminator first flew in 1996.

2) The F-15S/MTD can takeoff at 42mph

3) The F-15S/MTD uses 20* TVC while the Terminator uses 15*

4) The F-15S/MTD can decellerate using reverse-thrust and canards as brakes - rapid decelleration is the same thing the cobra is useful for, but the S/MTD doesn't have to expose itself broadside to gunfire.

He might me onto something here, if the world can get along we'd be able to devote our military technology to airshows... where the russians would kick our asses because their planes are more maneuverable at high AoA which the crowds just eat up. However, the world will surely never get along, so this is unlikely to work unless one country takes over the world. The US is just about the only one capable and I don't think it's on the top of our to-do list.

Yes, the world loves to brag about the Sukhois and their abilities etc, but there simply isn't enough. They have Su-27-a-plenty, but it is no match for the Raptor on any terms, beit high AoA, BVR, dogfight, weapons, radar, maintainability, accelleration, energy dogfighting, or pilot workload (F-15 makes it look like a rusty old toy in pilot workload, Flankers are funky to fly).

This guy is stupid. While pilot skill has a great bearing on the outcome of a fight, there are almost no veterans alive that can take a crap plane like the MiG-23 and defeat an F-15 recruit. The F-15 has missiles of longer range, better mobility, and is a better plane in a dogfight and in the cockpit. This has been proven by expert Eagle pilots getting their asses handed to them on a plate by F-22.

Listen idiot and listen close. If you think that America is even putting one sixteenth of thier military might into the current Iraq conflict than you need to visit a rehabilitation center for your substance abuse. Iraq currently has no air power as we know it, they haven't had one since the early days. If we fought them like we fought in WWII, there would be a smoking hole in the desert and 51 stars on the flag within a week or less.
