Left 4 Dead 2 - Standard Bot Rescue

In an attempt to re-create the dodgy rescue attempt shown by MarphitimusBlackimus, this video shows that AI bots no longer want to throw themselves off buildings. So its a standard rescue under no pressure...

Update : Apparently it does still happen (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScMy6CnvZ28&feature=youtube_gdata) but it appears to happen only with a specific part of the balcony (and its not that easy to replicate either!).

No, they still do. It's just that you didn't line them up properly.

@HippyMcSlippy The problem is where you jumped from. The first time, you successfully landed on the left balcony, so the survivors recongized you were falling from there. The second time, you had forgone the jump completely, and hung from the same balcony you were standing on.

The trick is to start from the right, then end up hanging from the left.

@ImmaThatGuy Its not so much where I jump from, its more where I land. It looks like it happens if you hold onto a very specific part of a ledge.
