Bruins 9th game of the season and 5th away game. Entering the game the Bruins were 6-2-0 on the season and 4-0-0 on the road. Sabres off to a bad start at 3-7-2.

Tim Thomas was going for Boston Bruins history (First Goalie To Start The Season 7-0-0) He accomplished this goal easily as the Bruins take this one in Buffalo 5-2. With two early first period shorthanded goals by Brad Marchand (First NHL Goal) and Patrice Bergeron (2nd of the season) Another tally was recored with about 3 mins to go in the period when Blake Wheeler recorded his first of the season. Michael Ryder added another in the second to make it 4-0. Drew Stafford finally got by Tim Thomas as he was the first player to get by him in over 177 mins. In the 3rd Andrej Sekera slided one by Timmy and the Buffalo Sabres became the first NHL team to get 2 or more past Tim in a single game this season. Milan Lucic slapped one into the empty net to finish the Sabres off as the Bruins take it 5-2.

Sabres Fall To 3-8-2
