While Knuckles was nowhere near the center of the main story in Sonic Adventure, his part was by far the coolest, handling his lonely fate on his island almost stoic, but still with implicit melancholy.

And I wouldn't say he is dumb... But having no social interaction on his floating island he is vulnerable to Eggmans deceptions and all in all a little one-dimensional (Still a strong character).

Sonic, Tails & Knuckles will always be the central trio for me.

Blasphemy!

... Nah, actually Gamma was pretty cool too. But his story was not very well executed. If it hadn't been for the lyrical ending, he wouldn't have been as memorable by far. But I also liked how his character development took place in my head (to explain his actions) instead of being explicitly thrown into my face. Still, his part was too short, lacked story elements beyond the bare minimum and was quite naive (Even for a kid's game).
