Great presentation! I enjoyed it and it makes a lot of sense. However I would like to point out a small mistake. Nephi claims he knew the future: "many of the Gentiles *shall* say: A Bible! A Bible! We have got a Bible, and there cannot be any more Bible". So Nephi may have wrote something like: "many of the Gentiles shall say: a collection of writings! A collection of writings! We have got a collection of writings, and there cannot be any more collection of writings." So not a strong argument.

@GohModley Hi Goh, say you belong to my church which bans vit. C. When you realize you are about to die from scurvy and take vit. C, I could say "Pres. Acker was right, they all leave when the temptation to live gets too strong" It doesn't mean much, but equals your argument above. Did you know that you sin against hundreds of random teachings from around the world that you don't even know exist? So why judge others that don't believe the same as you? Wow GohModley is the type of person I wish would just close their mouth until they have something constructive to say. I think your prophecy thing works in the context that both Isaiah and Nephi saw many marvelous visions but when you insult the entire gay community and say things like "This guy is a smug effet lil cunt and I wish Joseph Smith were around to turn his puny ass into a pretzel" It makes everything you said above that null and void.

No wonder people hate our church buddy. grow up
