As Crime Wave Grows, Russians Demand Action (Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty)

Shocked by a series of violent gang attacks in their region, residents of the Russian town of Gus-Khrustalny have been demanding a stronger response from the authorities. Russian Investigative Committee head Aleksandr Bastrykin recently met with members of the public as they aired their fears of unchecked crime.

It´s good that victims don´t stay at home and be silent,when they are under attack. People shouldn´t be intimidated by somebody´s title,but need to tell,what´s really happening. It is possible that otherwise the problem is not solved,because it´s simply unknown to the person,who could do something to it.

I have done the same thing,and while it didn´t fully work out for me,some changes happened, that make continuing that kind of action difficult.And peace of mind of criminals was broken at least.
