  • I am so loving these Nancy Drew reviews. I loved the books as a child, and still enjoy reading them from time to time. You mentioned that you were starting to collect the original texts. You won't be disappointed. They add an entirely new layer to the Nancy Drew experience.

  • Thank you! I'm really loving reading all of the books again and can't wait to get my hands on original texts. The one I'm reading this week (book 22) is the 1945 version and you're right - it's a totally different world.

  • She does come across as a little hard-hearted at times, but she made her intentions clear way back in book 4 - "For the present, my steady partner is going to be mystery."

And let's be honest - Nancy's obviously too special to be tied down by one guy, even one as perfect as Ned.

  • typical girl stringing along a boy as good as ned. i suppose at least nancy's obsession, mysteries, isn't as heart-breaking as if it were another boy.
