Nelson Alexander "Alex" Ross is one of our more acclaimed comic artists, noted for his women and his photorealism. Born in Portland, Oregon, in 1970, he became enamored of comics when he was a child after seeing Spider-Man on TV. By the time he was 20, his first published work, from pencils to coloring, appeared in a five-issue Terminator series. He did his first superhero three years later when he was assigned a Superman cover. He has worked prodigiously for both DC and Marvel comics and has won a number of prestigious wards for his comic work. His fans still follow him to all the comic meets. This video deals with some of his comic covers. You can also see a video called "Hero Worship - The Art of Alex Ross," featuring his art and a wide variety of splashes and pinups that he has done in the past. Music for this one is from Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 in A, Op. 92.
