Richard was phenomanal driver..he was very good.. I would however have to say that Chrysler played as big a part in his success as he himself did.. Chrysler dominated american racing back in the day hands down..they were so far ahead of their time back then..

Richard Petty is the King. I have met him a few times and he is truly one of the best people anyone could ever meet. He has been a lifeong hero of mine.
