No, I don't really feel much pain, unless I do it on an empty stomach or occasionally don't line something up right - then it can bruise and hurt for a few days when I just have to fast from eating or swallowing for several days.

I grew up extremely shy and scared of everything, teased and beat up by the bullies. Since they wouldn't let me play sports, I decided I wanted to do REAL MAGIC, do the impossible. I learned juggling, stilt-walking, unicycle riding, fire-eating, glass-eating, human blockhead. When I heard there were less than a dozen sword swallowers left in 1997, I learned sword swallowing and started the Sword Swallowers Association Intl. I now perform around the world to inspire people to do the impossible.
