This is a three minute preview version of "Willa: An American Snow White" by Tom Davenport. Becky Stark, who is the lead singer for Lavender Diamond, plays Willa. Becky had just graduated from high school when we filmed. This synopsis trailer was cut by editor Jonathan Hamilton. In our American version of Snow White, the girl escapes to a traveling medicine show.
Willa is on DVD with lots of extras including two documentary films on Medicine Shows.

I saw this on PBS on Christmas one year, and later got the DVD. It's a charming version of the tale and the DVD has some great extras. A wonderful example of inventive filmmaking on a shoestring budget.
