  • I'm from RI but I don't rememeber seeing Pancho Chavis up here - if you play up this way say hello - I'll be the one with the camera - or one of many with cameras - Willis knows me so if you are with him - introduce yourself. Tell Willis, Cyndy says hi.

  • Tell Willis I hope he had a very happy birthday yesterday! Happy Belated Birthday to Willis Prudhomme!!!

  • Great vid of Roy! We had a gteat time on a double bill with Roy at New Orleans famous Rock 'n' Bowl a couple weeks ago. Old Skool Zydeco at it's best! I just wanna know where the Willis Prudhomme vids?(I'm Willis's guitar player)

  • Hi- I'd love to catch Willis on video- he's great! Do I know you? Have you traveled to the Northeast with Willis or any other bands?

  • Diryaire1979,

Glad you enjoyed it....just got back from the Springtime Family Reunion (Cajun/Zydeco Festival)in Salt Point, NY - and Roy Carrier was there - heard some fantastic music - Roy Carrier and The Night Rockers, Willis Prudhomme, Jesse Lege, Al Berard, Ed Poullard, Mary Jane (Ardoin) Broussard, Dexter Ardoin, T Broussard and the Zydeco Steppers and some great regionial bands!!!! What a weekend!!!!

  • Thanks for the comment - We love Roy here in Rhode Island! I see that you are from France. Roy played at Les Nuits Cajun et Zydeco festival in Saulieu in 2004.

  • Rest in Peace Roy!!!! You were a true Creole Music Legend!!!!!!!!!!! Go Creole!

  • I did the 2002 blue bayou fest in maryland, and played with Pancho Chavis and the majic sounds in'03 in Rhode Island. Nothing lately....

  • What, no video???!

  • Indeed down home zydeco music! I myself am of partial creole heritage. Zydeco music is not of New Orleans, Louisiana. Zydeco music is regional ethnic that was born out of the creole communities of Southwestern Louisiana. Creole music of New Orleans and southeastern louisiana is more in the category of Jazz, Brass Band music, Mardi Gras Indian music, and traditional old style ballads. Again Zyri, This is a great clip. Thanks for recording this! Creole music must be kept alive!

  • Yeah you right, cher.
