My favorites were 4 and 6. The PS1's entries: 7, 8, and 9, are all solid titles. I enjoyed them most in the order of 9, 7, and 8. FFX was an excellent game, but it wasn't the same feel as the older ones had been. XII is the same as X if you ask me. Solid story and gameplay, but a departure. 5 is a good game, but more technical and applied in its combat. 3 is the same, but with older graphics and less exposure to the USA. 1 is a basic, and should be played. 2 sucked, if you ask me.

Well you never really had much of a choice to your game playing order, but I think that alot of younger people who are getting into FF now have so many games to choose from they dont know which one to pick first. I find myself in that exact predicament. Presuming that you have played most of the games, which ones would you regard as the best?

The only FF on the 360 is XI, and that's the MMO. I would honestly suggest you start from the beginning and work your way up. I don't see why you'd do it any way else. It's how I did, back in 1989.

I dont believe there is currently one for the 360, XIII would be the first when it does. Honestly though, with exception of X and X-2, the FF games are not linked to each other so you can start anywhere. VII is the crown gem that most FF fans love. I would start with VII then you can go anywhere from there.  Imo I would say X is the next one you should play after that.
