Pirated Game Oddities: Super Donkey Kong (NES)

Now, you may remember Donkey Kong Country 4, a decent NES conversion of DKC. Now, Super donkey Kong, on the other hand, is THE WORST pirate I've ever had to play.

The game runs at a painfully slow pace, and it doesn't help that the music does as well. The controls are terrible. There is a light delay when jumping, which is a real pain. Also, the colors hurt my eyes.

But the best thing about this pirate, is DK's left/right climbing animation. It looks so horrible and out of place!

In Stage 2, I know that the clouds are supposed to be bananas, but they just look like a cross between testicles and long boobs.

Not bad. DK looks perfect, and so does the level layout, but the enemies, particularly Zinger and the Green Kremling, look a little messed up. Also, the bananas look too complex compared to the originals.
