When I was 16 years old my parents would check up on me while I was in the safety of my own bedroom. Even today they don't see anything wrong with what they're doing. So these days I wonder are my parents controlling or if they're just mentally retarded.

my hobby is computer related repair and my parents are saying that its a stupid hobby and i should get a real hobby that will get me somewhere and my mom pushed me to the point that i went to the tech center and i am going to auto tech classes that will please her and shut her up and she is still not happy and i am stuck now and need help badly i am at the point of going insane any advise will be accepted good or bad as long as it helps me out.btw my hobby of computers is on youtube as well.

I feel like i really just want out you know, i don't need my parents around that much no more, i feel like they are just there hanging over me now. Does your auntie have OCD? because it's normal to be that picky about everything and doesn't let you go to school? that's just an outrage, your not getting the proper education you need because of her. To me id get out of there, i got a phone from New Look yesterday morning about a job but see i've already applied for a volunteer place so i cant do 2 things at once you know and they start yelling at me, telling me i'm stupid, trying to make my head all over the place but i will stick to my guns

I don't know i'm in the same situation.. the only thing that's kind of worked for me is appealing to other sources for statements on the fact that i'm a free person... ie in my religion they say we're free to make choices (not consequences)... I also challenge their harsh punishments.. If they tell me they're going to take away my phone i'll say we'll why.. if they still don't listen i'll try to tell other people about whats going on.. people that my parents talk to....i also recommend praying.
