I think this song by Atlanta's "The Producers" is about as perfect of a power pop song as you can find. There are better copies of it here on YT, but I had to have my own recording of it up here. I dropped a new CD track on it, but this video is a shortened version of the original recording so there are some edits in here to match the footage. There's also a long intro to this video that I never captured on my old VHS tape. Enjoy!

Edited or not, I absolutely love this song and love this video...especially the tongue-in-cheek chorus and the energetic performances!! Good sound quality, too. Makes me long for the early days of MTV when it was really a music television channel.

What happened to this kind of music. Great lyrics, Great beat. Awesome voices, and just FUN music! Music really has went down the tanks. Bring back the REAL musicians again!

They remind me of 'The Records' (The British band) - They've got that same sound. Crisp, Clear power-pop with great guitar. Catchy stuff. This is why 'Youtube' is sometimes a great thing. I'll have to check out they're other tunerio's!

Hi Richarfarr. Thanks for adding your comment. Your work speaks for itself. This video has SO much energy and spirit in it and nobody ever gives the editor his or her due when it looks this good. I don't know if you can remember any details given the length of time, but did the band do the entire full-length version of the song and you had to cut it down to fit a shorter runtime? I know I had to edit the CD track to make it fit the visual...and not always in sync, I'm afraid! dave
