Asus Eee PC 4G Windows XP installation

Here I'm installing Windows XP Professional (slipstreamed SP3 + WMP11 + IE7) on the Asus Eee PC 4G version. It's an unattended installation CD created with nLite, something that I couldn't get to work using a USB stick installation.

I'm using a IDE to USB cable, which came with a power supply, to connect an old CD reader I had lying around to the Eee. When the Eee boots just press Escape during the boot process and select the IDE drive and start from it.

Delete and recreate the primary partition and format it using NTFS and install Windows (so just like a normal desktop installation actually, nothing could be more simple).

No, just connect the CD/DVD drive it doesn't need any drivers because it is plug & play.
